New VoIP Device Currently Available at www.vonage.com

HOLMDEL, N.J., March 14, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Vonage and Motorola today announced the release of a new wireless router that will make it easy for customers to use fax, telephone and Internet services at the same time. Motorola, known for its innovation and leadership in wireless and broadband communications, developed the VT2542 to meet the sophisticated needs of Vonage's customers. The VT2542 enables Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephony and includes a 4-port wired and 802.11 b/g wireless access point for home networking connectivity. This new device is available at http://www.vonage.com for $59.99 after a $40 instant rebate ($99.00 -$40.00 =$59.99) (a $9.95 shipping and handling fee and a $29.99 activation fee is charged).

The Motorola VT2542 Internet Phone Adapter & Wireless Router can connect up to two (2) Vonage lines, including telephone and fax, through a high-speed Cable or DSL Internet connection. It also contains four Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN) ports and an 802.11b/g Wireless port for additional computers or other network devices. The Motorola VT2542 enables customers to use their Internet connection for their computer and phones at the same time, and is perfect for consumers who want the added advantage of easily setting up a secure wireless network.

"The Motorola VT2542 is just the latest innovation that gives our customers more options to meet their communication needs," said Vonage CEO Mike Snyder. "Vonage's successful relationship with Motorola has produced ground-breaking devices that help our customers communicate, when, where and how they choose."

Voice-over-data prioritization, which allows users to talk on the phone while using the Internet with no reduction in voice quality, is one of the stand-out features of the Motorola VT2542. Other features include Virtual Private Network (VPN) pass-through support, a secure web based user interface and full support of standard Vonage features, such as conference calling, call forwarding, call transfer, and call waiting.

"As Vonage continues to expand its footprint and reach new users, Motorola products are making it easy for customers to add functions and realize more value," said Alan Lefkof, corporate vice president and general manager, Motorola Broadband Solutions Group. "With the Motorola VT2542 Internet Phone Adapter & Wireless Router, Vonage will now make it easy for anyone to incorporate high-quality VoIP service with additional home networking capabilities and advanced security features in their home."
