Tim Shaughnessy

Interim Chief Financial Officer

Tim Shaughnessy was appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer of Vonage in August 2020. In this role, he leads all areas of Vonage’s global financial organization. Together with the Finance team, Shaughnessy is focused on achieving operational and executional excellence for the Company, while strengthening its innovation capacity and delivering differentiated value for customers.

Shaughnessy is an accomplished finance, technology and management executive, with significant leadership experience and a proven track record for leading transformations. He has a track record for helping companies improve profitability and market share, balancing financial discipline with growth. 

Before joining Vonage, he was Chief Operating Officer of Point72 Asset Management, where he was responsible for Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Facilities, Audit, Trading Execution and Operations. In this role, he led the transformation of these functions to increase the value they provided to the business while significantly lowering their costs.

Before that, Shaughnessy spent more than 30 years at IBM, and was in senior leadership roles for most of his tenure, including Chief Financial Officer for IBM's largest division, Global Services; IBM Vice President and Corporate Controller; General Manager of Global Technology Services, Asia Pacific; and IBM Senior Vice President, Service Delivery.
